Your Own Collagen, Built Back Over Months
A biostimulator that does not fill anything. It asks your body to rebuild the structure it has been losing.

A Filler Fills. This Does Not.
Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible material that has been used in absorbable sutures for decades. Injected into the deeper layers of the skin, it acts as a scaffold that provokes fibroblasts into producing new collagen over the following months.
The particles themselves are gradually absorbed and contribute nothing to the final result. What you end up with is your own collagen, in your own face, laid down in response to the stimulus. That is a genuinely different mechanism from a hyaluronic acid filler occupying space.
This is why the timeline is what it is. Nothing looks different in the first fortnight, and anyone promising you an immediate change with Sculptra either misunderstands it or is describing the temporary swelling from the injection volume.
A Good Fit If Any of This Sounds Familiar
If you need to look different next week, this is the wrong treatment and we will say so.
Three Steps, Start to Finish
We Assess Where Structure Has Gone
Sculptra suits generalised loss. If your problem is one hollow in one place, a different product is the better answer.
Injected Across Sessions
Usually a series spaced weeks apart. Massage afterwards matters and we will show you exactly how.
We Reassess at Three Months
Only then can anyone judge how much has been built and whether more is warranted.
Nothing Happens for Weeks. That Is the Point.
A treatment that changes your face overnight is a treatment people notice. This one arrives slowly enough that they notice you instead.
Slow by Design
How a Scaffold Becomes Your Own Collagen
Poly-L-lactic acid is a synthetic polymer that degrades by hydrolysis into lactic acid, a substance your body already handles routinely. As it breaks down it triggers a controlled inflammatory response in which fibroblasts are recruited and stimulated to produce type I collagen.
The volume you eventually see is that new collagen, not the product. This is why the material can be fully absorbed while the result persists, and why the effect builds rather than appears.
The specific risk worth understanding is nodule formation, small firm lumps that can develop if the product is placed too superficially or not distributed properly. Correct dilution, correct depth and diligent massage afterwards are how that risk is managed, and we will be thorough with you about all three.

What People Ask Us First
Filler occupies space immediately and is dissolvable. Sculptra stimulates your own collagen over months and is not reversible. Different mechanisms, different timelines, different jobs.
Usually a series, spaced several weeks apart, with the number depending on how much structure has been lost. We will tell you at consultation.
No. There is no enzyme that reverses it, which is exactly why we treat conservatively and build gradually rather than chasing a result in one visit.
The risk is real and it is manageable. Correct depth, correct dilution and following the massage instructions we give you are what keep it low.
Commonly two years or more, which is considerably longer than most fillers. Aging continues underneath it, so we will talk about what maintenance looks like.
Often Considered Alongside This
Build It Back Rather Than Fill It In.
Come in and we will tell you whether your face needs structure rebuilt or volume placed. They are not the same problem.
