A Lift Without an Incision
Focused ultrasound reaches the layer a surgeon tightens, and it is the only device of its kind that lets the provider see that layer before delivering any energy. Coming soon to AEVUM.
Not in the Room Yet
Ultherapy PRIME is on its way to AEVUM and is not available to book today. We have built this page early because people ask about it by name and deserve a straight answer rather than a treatment menu that quietly omits it.
If this is the treatment you are waiting for, tell us at your consultation. We will plan around it, and we will let you know the moment it is available rather than leaving you to check back.
We have not put a date on this page on purpose. When it is here, it will be bookable, and you will hear it from us first.
Ultrasound That Shows You the Target
Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to a set depth beneath the skin, including the layer of connective tissue a surgeon tightens during a facelift. Heating that layer in small precise points triggers a wound healing response, and the collagen laid down in the months afterward is what produces the lift.
What separates PRIME from everything else in the category is that the provider can see where the energy is going. The handpiece carries ultrasound imaging, so the tissue layers appear on screen in real time and the depth is confirmed against your actual anatomy before a single pulse is delivered. It is the only device with that capability cleared for face, neck, decollete and body.
That matters more than it sounds. Every other energy device in this category is delivered blind, on the assumption that your tissue sits where the average patient's tissue sits. Being able to look first is the difference between placing energy in the right layer and hoping you did.
The Device
Ultherapy PRIME
Ultherapy PRIME is the current generation of the Ulthera platform from Merz Aesthetics. It is cleared by the FDA for lifting the brow, lifting skin on the neck and under the chin, and improving lines and wrinkles on the decollete.
More recently it has been cleared for improving the appearance of skin laxity on the abdomen and on both the front and the back of the arms, which took it from being a face and neck device to one that covers the areas people most often ask about on the body.
Those are the cleared indications and that is the limit of what we will claim for it here. What it will do for your particular degree of laxity is a judgment we would rather make looking at you than in advance on a web page.

A Good Fit If Any of This Sounds Familiar
Significant skin laxity is a surgical problem, not an energy problem. If that is what we find, we will tell you plainly.
Four Steps, Start to Finish
Assessment
We decide whether your laxity is mild enough for energy to move it. This is the honest conversation, and it happens first.
Imaging
The tissue layers are visualized on screen so depth is confirmed against your anatomy rather than assumed.
Treatment
Energy is delivered along the mapped lines. Most people feel brief deep heat in pulses.
The Wait
Nothing much happens for weeks. Collagen builds across months and that is when it is judged.
Being Able to See It Is the Point
Every other device in this category is delivered blind. Imaging turns the depth setting from an assumption into a measurement.
Nothing, Then Gradually Something
Reaching the Layer Surgery Reaches
Focused ultrasound passes through the surface without affecting it and converges at a set depth, which is where the energy becomes heat. Because it converges rather than being absorbed on the way in, it can be placed deeper than radiofrequency or laser reach, including in the connective tissue layer a facelift addresses.
Depth and precision are everything in that plane. There are structures nearby that should not be heated, which is the argument for imaging rather than a marketing point: confirming where you are before delivering energy is a safety matter as much as an efficacy one.
The limitation is honest and worth stating. Tightening existing tissue is not the same as removing excess tissue. If your skin has descended past the point where a collagen response can hold it, no amount of energy will produce a surgical result, and we would rather tell you that at the consultation than take your money twice.
What People Ask Us First
Soon, and we have not put a date on this page on purpose. A date we miss is worse than no date. Tell us at your consultation that this is what you are waiting for and we will contact you when it is here.
Same underlying technology, updated platform. The headline differences are real time imaging and faster treatment times, plus newer clearances covering the abdomen and the arms as well as the face, neck and decollete.
It is felt. Most people describe brief pulses of deep heat along the treatment lines, strongest over bone. It is short lived and we will talk through comfort options before we begin.
No. It tightens existing tissue, where surgery removes and repositions it. For mild to moderate laxity it can be a genuinely good answer, and past a certain point it is not. We will tell you which side of that line you are on.
Your skin keeps aging, so this is maintenance rather than a fix. Most people revisit it around the one year mark. We will give you a realistic picture once we have seen how your skin responds to the first treatment.
