Different Problems Need Different Light
Phoenix, Spectrum, PIX-E pico and Newbaskin, chosen for your skin type and your concern rather than for whichever device the room happens to hold.
Advanced Laser and Energy at Aevum
Energy based treatment is the part of aesthetics with the widest gap between what a device can do and what it will do in the wrong hands. Wavelength, pulse duration, fluence and skin type all have to line up. When they do not, the result ranges from disappointing to a burn.
We carry the Phoenix and Spectrum platforms, the PIX-E pico laser and Newbaskin. That range exists so the treatment can be matched to the problem. Pigment, vascular redness, texture, scarring, tattoo ink and unwanted hair are not one problem with one setting, and treating them as if they were is how skin gets damaged.
Every energy treatment here starts with an assessment of your skin type and your history. Recent sun exposure, certain medications, active infection and a history of pigmentation all change what is safe on the day, which is why the plan is confirmed at the appointment rather than at booking.
Four Reasons This Is Different Here
Skin Typed Before Settings
Fitzpatrick type changes what is safe. Assessing it properly is the difference between a result and a burn.
Four Platforms, One Decision
Having a range means the treatment is chosen for your concern. A practice with one device treats everything with one device.
Sequenced Over Sessions
Energy treatments build. Pushing the settings to finish faster is how complications happen, and we will not do it.
Downtime Told Up Front
Some of these leave you social the same day. Some do not. You will know which before you book, not after.
The Treatments Inside This Category

Ultra short pulses for pigment, tattoo ink and textural change
Newbaskin
Skin renewal as part of a sequenced rejuvenation plan
Laser Hair Removal
A course of treatments timed to the growth cycle
Tattoo Removal
Fragmenting ink over a planned series rather than a single session
The Device Is Not the Treatment
Four platforms sit in this practice because no single wavelength solves pigment, redness, texture and hair. Matching the two is the job.
How It Actually Works
Lasers work on selective photothermolysis. A wavelength is chosen because a specific target in the skin absorbs it more than the surrounding tissue does. Melanin absorbs some wavelengths, hemoglobin absorbs others, tattoo ink absorbs others again. The target heats, breaks down or is cleared, and the tissue around it is left alone.
Pulse duration matters as much as wavelength. A pico laser delivers energy in trillionths of a second, which shatters pigment mechanically rather than by heating it. That is why it can address ink and stubborn pigment that longer pulses cannot, with less thermal spread.
Risk here is real and it is skin type dependent. Burns, blistering, and both hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation are the known complications, and they are far more likely on recently tanned skin or on a skin type that was never properly assessed. That assessment is not a formality and we will reschedule you rather than treat around it.
Everything We Offer Under Advanced Laser and Energy
Before You Book
It depends on the treatment and the target. Hair removal follows the growth cycle and needs a planned series. Pigment often improves noticeably in one or two. Tattoo ink is the longest course of all. We will give you a realistic number rather than a marketing one.
Some of these wavelengths are, with the right settings, and some are not appropriate at all. Pigmentation risk in deeper skin tones is genuine. We assess your skin type first and we will tell you plainly if a treatment is not right for you.
No, and this is the rule people push back on most. Recently tanned skin has more melanin at the surface to absorb the energy, which is exactly how burns and pigment changes happen. We will reschedule you rather than risk it.
Most patients describe a snap or a hot pinprick, repeated. Cooling is used throughout and topical numbing is available for the more intense treatments. We will tell you where on that range your treatment sits.
Anywhere from redness for an hour to visible crusting for a week, depending on the treatment and the intensity. You will get the specific answer for your plan, along with the aftercare, before we book you in.
