Rebuild the Structure, Slowly and on Purpose
PDO threads and Sculptra, placed to rebuild your own collagen so the change reads as rested rather than done.
Threads and Biostimulators at Aevum
Threads and biostimulators solve a different problem from filler. Filler occupies space. These prompt your body to build its own tissue back, which takes months and is precisely why the result tends to look like you rather than like a treatment.
PDO threads are absorbable sutures placed under the skin. They give a degree of immediate support and, as they dissolve, they trigger collagen along their path. Sculptra is injectable poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates collagen more diffusely across an area.
Neither is instant, and that is the honest headline. If you need to look different by Saturday, this is not the category for you and we will tell you so.
Four Reasons This Is Different Here
Gradual Reads as Real
Change that arrives over months is change nobody can put a date on. That is usually the outcome patients actually want.
Placement Is Everything
Threads sit in specific tissue planes. Depth and vector are what separate a good result from a visible one.
It Is Your Own Collagen
What you end up with is tissue your body built, not a product sitting in a space.
Honest About the Ceiling
Biostimulators improve quality and support. They do not lift significant laxity. When surgery is the real answer, we say so.
The Treatments Inside This Category
PDO Threads
Absorbable sutures for support and collagen stimulation along their path
Sculptra
Poly-L-lactic acid that builds collagen diffusely over months
Collagen Induction
Improving skin quality rather than only adding volume
Gradual Onset
Change that builds slowly enough to read as natural
Combination Planning
Sequenced alongside injectables or surgery rather than in isolation
Full Face Approach
Treating the structure rather than chasing one line
Structure Rebuilt Slowly Reads as Rested, Not Done
Depth and vector are what separate a result people compliment from one they can spot across a room.
How It Actually Works
PDO is polydioxanone, a material used in surgical sutures for decades. Placed in the correct tissue plane it provides mechanical support initially, and the body's response to breaking it down lays down collagen along the thread path. The material fully absorbs.
Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid. Rather than filling, it causes a controlled response that produces new collagen over a period of months. That is why it is dosed across several sessions and assessed slowly.
The realistic limit matters. These treatments improve quality and give modest support. They do not replicate what surgery does for significant laxity, and a practice that tells you otherwise is selling you a course of treatment that will disappoint you.
Everything We Offer Under Threads and Biostimulators
Before You Book
Threads give some immediate support, then continue improving over roughly three months as collagen forms. Sculptra is assessed over months and typically needs a short series. Neither is a same-week result.
Threads typically hold for a number of months and the collagen response outlasts the material. Sculptra results build and then hold considerably longer. We will give you a realistic range at consultation.
The area is numbed. Threads involve pressure and an odd sensation more than sharp pain, and there is usually some tightness and swelling for several days afterward.
No. They are useful for support and quality in the right candidate. If you have significant laxity, threads will underdeliver and we would rather have that conversation before you spend the money.
Usually yes, and sequencing matters. We will plan the order rather than treating everything on the same day for convenience.
